Any man that practices Yoga is known as a Yogi, and any woman that practices Yoga is known as a Yogini. There are six traditional systems of Indian philosophy and this is one among them which is the functional science of the body and the mind. It is not just sitting in the lotus position and chanting but a vast subject that can take a lifetime to understand.

Back problems due to postural alignment conditions are specifically healed by yoga and it is also a great stress reliever. Complementary therapies make people feel good and this gives enough cause to cancer patients to resort to these methods. It is widely suggested that it should be practiced in the morning before you take any food.

Some of the styles of this discipline are listed below: Raja Yoga: The chief component of this style is meditation. Kundalini Yoga: The main component here comprises of the kriyas which are special set of exercises that promise instant results and these are very safe and non-stressful to practice. This is the foundation for all modern posture based types of yoga Sahaja Yoga is an ideal way of meditation based on a practice called ‘Self Realization’ (Kundalini awakening) which will be present in every human being. The precision of therapeutic yoga and the foundations of traditional yoga come together in a heated room under the system of Moksha hot yoga.

Today even children are encouraged to do yoga. The reason for the popularity of yoga is that it is not something that is not performed on you but it is something that you perform. You build flexibility and endurance and it is gentle on the body. Yoga is becoming popular among soldiers who are keen in working on their stamina, mental focus and flexibility as per Fit Yoga and the Associated Press. The crux of the matter is that this is not just a physical exercise routine but a discipline that provides an overall sense of wellness and inner harmony.
